Willmott Dixon has been awarded a £14 million contract by Dorsett Hospitality International to convert The Matrix building in Aldgate into a 13 storey hotel complex.
The development in London will provide 270 bedrooms, along with a restaurant, fitness centre and 1,600 square feet of meeting area for the business community.
Roger Forsdyke, Managing Director at Willmott Dixon's Cobham office, said: "This is a really interesting office to hotel conversion right in the heart of The City of London, providing new capacity in this fast growing part of London."
The project aims to be completed in December 2016.
