C2V+, a joint venture between VolkerStevin and CH2M, have been awarded a £43 million design and build Water Treatment Works (WTW) scheme in Oswestry, Shropshire.

As part of the AMP6 Construction Delivery Partner framework for United Utilities, the scheme will develop a new flocculation/sedimentation basin, a chlorine contact tank and a clearwater storage tank.

Refurbishment work will also be carried out on existing rapid gravity filters to cater for an additional 40 million litres of water flow per day.

Darren Hynes, Framework Director for C2V+, said: "After being named as one of four Construction Delivery Partners for the AMP6 framework in 2014, we are delighted to be appointed for this scheme at this early stage of the framework."

Work on the site will commence in Spring 2015 with an overall building period of two years.
