The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is to invest £5m towards construction training in Wales.
Under the arrangements, the scheme will ensure that industry has access to quality training to meet demand locally.
The priority is to ensure that the right construction training is available at the right time and in the right place across Wales, to meet the priorities set by employers. CITB will also work with a partner provider.
The new arrangements are expected to be operational by September 2017, with CITB providing set-up funding of up to £3m to support the development of construction training facilities.
An additional investment of up to £2m will then be made for training delivery.
