Chesire East Council has won three planning appeals against 'unsustainable development in the area.
The council hasdefended its decisions to refuse planning permission for 300 homes in Church Lane, Wistaston and 130 new homes on land off Sandbach Road North, in Alsager.
Both appeals were brought by developer Gladman for green field sites.
A High Court judge has also supported Cheshire East Council's refusal of planning permission for Richborough Estate’s controversial Moorfields scheme for 146 homes in Willaston.
Cheshire East Council Leader Councillor Michael Jones said: "These decisions further vindicate our fresh approach to promoting sustainable development through planning decisions."
