The Chief Executive of Balfour Beatty has hosted a talk to give students at Northampton Business School a real-life insight into project management.

Nick Pollard aimed the talk at those studying Project Management on Business, Information Sciences, Construction and Civil Engineering, as well as MBA and MSc programmes.

It was followed by an interactive session where Mr Pollard introduced some projects from Balfour Beatty and answered the students' questions.

Susan Bailey, Senior Lecturer in Information Sciences, commented: "Good project management is the key to success in all organisations. It is a reality check and a great experience for our students to hear about the importance of project management to a global player like Balfour Beatty.

"We were delighted that Nick was able to spend some time here at the University to share his knowledge and experience. We will continue to provide relevant, industry appropriate experiences for our students, to motivate and prepare them for job opportunities in the future."
