Funding has been approved for improvement works to be carried out at a primary school in Haringey.

The money for Earlham Primary School will be used to make repairs required at the school which includes modernising the Earlha's drainage system and renovating the roof of the school hall.

The council has helped the school outline what works may be needed and will work with DFE to define detailed project plans for improvements to be carried out. Construction will start at the earliest opportunity.

Councillor Ann Waters, Haringey Council Cabinet Member for Children and Families, said: "It is great news that our successful bid to the DfE means that Earlham will get funding to make vital improvements to the school. This work will ensure that children continue to receive a first class education in Haringey in a building that's fit for purpose and suited to helping them realise their full potential."
