Morgan Sindall has scooped a £2m school extension contract.
The scheme at Wellington Community School in Aldershot, for Hampshire County Council, involves the construction of six new purpose-built classrooms. A new multi-purpose community room will also be constructed.
Photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof to store and convert solar energy into electricity.
Morgan Sindall will also be undertaking external landscaping and creating a new multi-purpose games area.
Tim Elliott, special works manager at Morgan Sindall, said: "We are very pleased to have been appointed to the expansion of Wellington Community Primary School.
"The expansion works will update the school’s facilities and ensure that it is able to meet growing demand for school places, creating a valuable asset for the local community."
Construction work is now underway.
