Enfield Council has launched a Smart Homes scheme which aims to improve the energy efficiency of privately owned homes.
The scheme offers government grants of up to 75% of costs towards energy improvements in homes to a maximum of £6,000.
The grants are open to both owner occupiers, private tenants and private landlords.
Smart Homes also supports other energy improvements highlighted in a Green Deal Assessment such as double glazing, secondary glazing and or energy efficient boilers.
The scheme is being run by Haringey Council, working with the boroughs of Enfield, Camden, Hackney, Islington, and Waltham Forest. Smart Homes runs until the 31 of March 2015.
