Wandsworth Council has approved planning permission for 20 new homes to be developed in Nine Elms.
The new development on the Patmore Estate will replace a disused garage area off Deeley Road.
The proposal is for a part four, part five storey brick building to provide a mix of one, two and three bedroom flats and maisonettes. They will be owned and managed by the council.
The properties will meet the highest efficiency and space standards set by the London Mayor and will include triple glazed winter garden balconies.
Last October plans were approved for another 15 new council homes on the Patmore Estate and a further 22 on the neighboring Savona Estate.
