Resurfacing Scheme To Begin On A12 In Lowestoft

Road improvement work is to begin on the A12 in Lowestoft on Monday 19th January.

The work will be in both directions between St Peters Street and Station Square.

The resurfacing project, which includes renewing new road studs and road markings is due to be complete by Friday 6th February.

Highways Agency project sponsor, Andy Dyer said: "The current surface is worn and needs replacing to ensure that users of the A12 in Lowestoft can continue to enjoy safe, smooth and reliable journeys.

"We always try to minimise inconvenience to road users when we are carrying out work, which is why the scheme has been planned to take place overnight, so I would urge motorists to plan ahead and allow extra time in case of any delays.

"We have worked closely with local residents and businesses that will be affected by these works and we will ensure access is maintained at all times."
