Wates To Build New Office Development In Liverpool

Construction firm Wates has been appointed to build a new office development in Liverpool.

The work on Duke Street involves the demolition of existing buildings to make way for four floors of Category A office space.

The project, which has been designed by DLA Architects, will include the retention of the former vinegar warehouse at the rear of the site and will comprise a central courtyard and basement car parking spaces.

Once complete, the new 62,000 sq ft office will become home to American shipping company, Atlantic Container Line, which is headquartered in Liverpool. The new building is expected to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Work on the scheme is set to begin this month.
