Construction firm Bardsley has scooped a £10.4 million contract to build new apartments in Bradford.
The seven self-contained apartments and 30 dementia flats are to be located at Fernbank Drive. The firm will also develop a day centre for community use.
The facility will also provide communal facilities for the residents inclusive of dining, catering, hair and beauty, laundry, meeting lounges, treatment rooms and a shop.
The 7800m2 building over 7 floors will provide a modern living environment for the residents and provide first class care and treatment for all the occupants and visitors.
The construction of the building will consist of a number of concrete retaining walls structures to accommodate the sloping site levels, the external envelope of the building is predominately pitched faced cast stone and render with aluminium and composite window and curtain walling.
The contract will be administered under a JCT 2011 standard Building contact with Quantities which will see Bardsley responsible for a number of elements of the design such as the precast floors and stairs, the curtain walling and windows, and the green roof.
