Matchplay 2 Takes Over Willow Sports Centre

Willows Indoor Sports Centre in Derby has recently undergone refurbishment of its facilities, making this the place to be in Derby for fun, fitness and the best facilities for sport.

A previous customer of Playrite, Willows knew just where to go when they decided to re-vamp their existing offering and were looking for new synthetic sports courts.

The team at Willows were looking for a new surface to be able to play cricket, futsal and netball. With Playrite being the experts on many different types of sports surfacing

The main remit for Willows was to get as much use as possible from the surface and the ability to play a number of different sports, Playrite’s Matchplay 2 was the perfect answer. The multi-functional sports surface is great for large or small ball sports, the next generation to an artificial grass this is a truly multi-purpose surface that plays like a sports pitch and keeps the characteristics of so many sports. Willows is now in the fortunate position of being able to offer 5-a-side, cricket, Netball, futsal and dodgeball from their new facility.

Playrite’s Matchplay 2 is a hard wearing and durable surface, chosen for its high performance nature and ability to host a range of sports, particularly netball and tennis. The built in cushion layer makes for medium-paced play and is easy on player’s leg joints. Inlaid lines can be permanently added in white, yellow, red and blue. Low sand content and low maintenance maximises playing time and increases potential revenue.
