Crest Nicholson has been selected by the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) to be the Development Manager for the mixed-use redevelopment of Wyton Airfield.

The site, which is located near St Ives in Cambridgeshire, offers an opportunity to deliver a development of some 4,500 new homes, generating approximately 8,000 new jobs across the construction, office and retail sectors in the process.

The development is to be designed and delivered in line with Garden Village principles, which advocate a holistic approach embracing social, environmental and economic factors to create genuinely sustainable communities.

Crest Nicholson's approach, embodied on a number of its major projects, is founded on the principles of visionary design, high-quality green spaces, homes for all segments of the community, and the greater involvement of communities in both the vision and the long-term management arrangements.
