A Multi-Sport Pitch For Mary Hill School

Construction News Image
Mary Hill Primary School in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent has recently been the recipient of a brand new multi-sport pitch. The school has been in desperate need for somewhere for the children to play, with limited areas and resources, Playrite were able to assist in changing an area that was previously unusable into a fantastic new sports facility for the school.

The pitch was constructed on an area of land which had previously been natural grass and prone to holding water and creating mud pools during large portions of the year. An artificial surface is ideal for situations like this, as with the correct drainage it can make a barely useable space into something great for all to use.

2800sqm Playrite’s Matchwinner surface has provided the all year round multi-sport facility.

Matchwinner is a sand dressed surface able to cater for all sports at community level. The surface was chosen due to its flexibility in providing an excellent all round surface for multi-sport including football, hockey and netball, along with being hard wearing and durable with a relatively low maintenance regime. In-laid lines can be permanently added in white, yellow and red to suit. Meeting EN15330 part 2 standards the surface is an excellent choice for the establishment.

The pitch area was created in Summer Green with the D's in Autumn Green to create an unusual, stand out, two-tone effect.
