Construction company Skanska is performing strongly after it reported a profit of £30.8m in the first nine months of this year.

During this period, £1,229.2m of orders have been booked by Skanska UK. In the latest quarter, this includes an £86.6m mechanical and electrical fit-out contract at the Battersea Power Station redevelopment and a £49.9m site wide infrastructure project at the North West Cambridge Development.

A number of projects have been completed in 2014, including the new Thurrock campus at South Essex College, Crossrail's Western Ticket Hall Box at Bond Street Station, two sections of the M25, phase two at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and Bath Spa University's 'commons' building. Additionally, Skanska has finished a number of projects in the City of London, including commercial developments Moorgate Exchange and Bevis Marks.
