Western Distribution Power has selected Morgan Sindall for its Framework Agreement to deliver the Excavation, Cable Laying and Reinstatement Works within their West Midlands region.

The on-site works are due to commence from November 2014, with an estimated annual value of circa £30 million.

The initial term of the Framework Agreement will be three years, with a further option for a two year extension.

The work entails supporting Western Power Distribution to maintain and enhance the electricity network across the Midlands, ranging from the installation of 11kV to 33kV distribution cables. As part of the Framework Agreement, Morgan Sindall will undertake both planned and reactive works. In order to meet Ofgem targets, the team must respond to reactive works within one hour of call out.
