Line Markings Are Important On Many Outdoor Surfaces

Construction News Image
Line markings are often overlooked when in fact their purpose is extremely important. When you think about where line markings are installed for a moment you begin to realise that without them things would be pretty chaotic.

Road line markings used for car parks, roads and within industrial settings help to keep order and aid people to comply with the rules of the road. They show whose right of way it is, where to position yourself on the road and also where to park your car in some cases.

Without road markings the roads would be chaos, drivers lives would be put at risk and pedestrians would also be in danger.

Line markings which are used as sports pitch markings are vital in many sports. Whether its line markings for football, netball, cricket, rugby, hockey and others they are all vital to the game. Those lines determine when a ball or other sports equipment is out of play; in addition to this they also determine whether or not a player is offside, onside, in play or out of play.

Without these sports pitch markings the game simply couldn’t take place. Nobody would know say their position on the pitch whether they were offside or onside and it would be extremely difficult to determine whether or not a ball was out of play or in play.

Both road markings and sports pitch markings can sometimes fade due to weathering and general wear and tear so it is important that they are maintained quite regularly.

Without realising it, surface markings are a major part of our lives!
