Wates Construction has been appointed to extend a primary school in Leeds, in a contract worth £6.1m.
The Little London Primary School on Meanwood Street will see the building expand to become a three-form entry school to accommodate 630 pupils at Key Stage Two.
Construction work has already started on the project.
Designed by NPS Group and Halliday Clark, the scheme will include the creation of 2,329 sq ft of new teaching spaces and will also include the refurbishment of the existing school buildings.
The project will also see Wates rebuild the adjacent community centre to include a new Neighbourhood Housing Office, as well as delivering new parking provision for the school.
