Castleward Development Scoops Prestigious Accolade

A £100m Castleward development in Derby has scooped the Refurbishment and Regeneration accolade.

The Castleward team, Compendium Living, Derby City Council and Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), picked up their award at the East Midlands Forum for the Built Environment Awards.

Winners of the region's best construction projects were announced at an awards ceremony held at The City Rooms in Leicester.

Ian Woodland, Project Manager at Compendium Living, the developer behind Castleward, said: "We are proud to receive this recognition so early on in the life of the project, with work on phase one of Castleward currently underway, and to know that we are making such a positive impact on the city of Derby.

"While the new homes and commercial space will create a new community in which to live and work, everyone will feel the benefits of this project due to the tree-lined boulevard we are creating, which will provide a new gateway to the city centre and an attractive link between the railway station and the heart of Derby."
