Work to improve energy efficiency in more than 150 homes in Braunstone, Leicester, is almost complete.
Leicester City Council has installed external wall insulation at the houses on eight streets in Braunstone, while replacing inefficient boilers and upgrading loft insulation where necessary.
The energy-saving measures could help tenants see their fuel bills reduced by around £425 per year.
Councillor Andy Connelly, Assistant City Mayor for Housing, said: "These works are part of our strategy to improve the energy efficiency of our housing stock.
"By making these improvements, we're not only cutting fossil fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, but we're also making these homes easier to keep warm – and helping our tenants to save money on their fuel bills."
