Sanctuary Green Technologies has teamed up with construction firm G Purchase to install solar panels at a community centre in Bretch Hill, Oxfordshire.

The Sunshine Centre currently provides essential services locally for children and families, from accessing health advice and childcare to trips and activities.

The 250w solar panels, which should generate over 900kw of electricity and reduce CO2 emissions by over three tonnes each year, will cut utility bills and allow the centre to reinvest any savings into providing more amenities to the community.

Jill Edge, the manager of the Sunshine Centre, said: "The solar panels will allow us to enhance services in the local community for our residents. It will mean we can have a small pot of money available that we can use to meet the needs of the families around us and provide services that they need and would like to see in their community."
