Construction firm Balfour Beatty has scooped a £39 million project by Unite Students.
The project includes three main buildings on Holloway Road in Islington, London, that will provide 862 new student residences together with commercial space, reception areas, a plant room, common rooms and ancillary space. The contract includes the demolition of the existing University facilities and student lecture rooms, the construction of an internal landscaped courtyard, amenity space and public realm works.
Balfour Beatty will support around 40 apprenticeships and employ local labour and supply chain partners during the project.
Construction starts in September 2014 with completion in July 2016.
