Proposals are to be unveiled for Nottinghamshire County Council's new Worksop Bus Station.

The public are being urged to attend a community event on Tuesday 9 September to discuss the proposals.

Earlier this year the council appointed Wates Construction as the main contractor to build the new bus station.

Jointly hosted by the contractor and the council, the information event will take place at Civic Square from 8am until 2pm. Current proposals outline plans for a new bus terminal with an eight-bus capacity, a waiting concourse and a café and shop on Newcastle Street.

The council's design team will be on hand to talk about the project along with representatives from West Nottingham College, who will join Wates in informing the public on the training and apprenticeship opportunities available.

The contractor is due take possession of the site from Monday 15th September with an anticipated completion during summer 2015.
