Building work on a new combined library and leisure centre in Manchester is under way.
Moss Side Leisure Centre temporarily closed on Tuesday 26 August to allow major construction works to take place. It is now due to reopen on Monday 8 September.
The works are essential to prepare for the opening of a new library facility, which is scheduled to open in early 2015 and will replace the existing Hulme Library.
The new library will offer access to the city's wealth of library books, plus free internet access for library members. It will be located within the reception area of the centre, with a reconfigured entrance and new joint reception desk located inside the building.
