Over 20 new homes in Top Valley in Nottingham are now complete.

The 22 new homes for Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) are located at Duffield Crescent.

The houses are being made available to tenants, have been developed on a site that was derelict for many years, after the supported housing scheme on it was demolished.

In December 2011, Nottingham City Council sought a registered social landlord to develop the site into affordable housing, and NCHA was awarded the contract. NCHA's own architects, who trade under the name Pelham Architects, created a design to make the most of the distinctive shape and topography of the site. NCHA worked in partnership with Kier, as the main contractor, in building the homes.

NCHA Chief Executive, Mike Andrews, said: "There's a real demand for new houses in Nottingham. These properties sit on land that was previously derelict, so they are a real improvement to the area as well as to lives of the people who will live in them. Nearly £2.5 million has been spent on the project, and we hope it will provide a great place to live for generations to come."
