The Highways Agency is to begin resurfacing work along the A595 near Westlake Science Park between Whitehaven and Egremont in Cumbria.
The £120,000 resurfacing project, which includes installing new road studs and road markings, will start on Tuesday 26th August and is due to be complete by Tuesday 2nd September.
Highways Agency project sponsor Peter Gee said: "The current surface is worn and needs replacing to ensure that users of the A595 in this part of Cumbria can continue to enjoy safe, smooth and reliable journeys.
"We always try to minimise inconvenience to road users when we are carrying out work and while there will be traffic management such as temporary traffic lights in place these will be totally removed during the day."
Access to the science park will not be affected.
