Essential road repairs are due to take place on Spring Bank West in Hull from Monday 18 August.

The scheme will last three weeks and involves reconstructing the carriageway beneath the Spring Bank West rail bridge, carriageway resurfacing and a number of kerbs and channels will be renewed as required.

The carriageway reconstruction works will be completed with temporary two-way signals during the school holidays to minimise disruption.

Councillor Martin Mancey, Portfolio Holder for Energy City and Cabinet Member for Highways, said: "These are essential reconstruction works and, as with all such works, I have asked Council officers to ensure that, working with the contractor, every effort is made to minimise disruption to motorists, local residents and businesses.

"Affected businesses and residents in the area have been notified and signed diversions will be in place. Nevertheless, I would like to apologise on behalf of the Council for any unavoidable inconvenience that may be caused."
