Work to repair and repoint sections of a retaining wall alongside the A595 at Parton near Whitehaven in Cumbria has begun.
The £60,000 Highways Agency routine maintenance project involves repairing the wall around the junction with Rosehill.
Highways Agency project sponsor Peter Gee said: "This is a single carriageway section of the A595 and we will have to use temporary traffic signals to manage traffic during the work"
The work will be completed by the end of the month with no work taking place between Thursday 21st August and Tuesday 26th August.
