A site manager for housebuilding firm, Lovell, has been honoured for his outstanding work on a new housing development in Llanharry, near Pontyclun.
Chris King was named a winner in the annual Pride in the Job Award organised by the National House-Building Council (NHBC).
The Pride in the Job Quality Award recognises his excellent management of the Bryn Celyn scheme.
Chris said: "It means a huge amount to get this kind of recognition from the NHBC. I'm lucky to have a job that I love and the support of a highly skilled and dedicated team; this award is for them as much as it is for me. We've all enjoyed working at Bryn Celyn and seeing the houses we've built proving so popular with homebuyers."
Chris, 35, joined Lovell 19 years ago as an apprentice carpenter before moving into site management and becoming a site manager in 2007.
