JPG Completes Highways Project

JPG has finished works on a £5 million highways project to serve the £100 million Flaxby Country Resort and a new gateway business park near Knaresborough, North Yorkshire.

'The Flaxby' is a luxury hotel and leisure development situated on the site of the existing 27-hole Flaxby Park Golf course. Set to become one of the biggest hotels in the North of England when completed in 2015, the development will also feature a luxury spa and gym, restaurants, bars and boutiques, totalling over 240,000 sq. ft. in size.

'Flaxby Green Park' is a proposed new 100 acre site which combines green technologies to offer high quality business space in a natural environment. Design and build opportunities are currently available.

JPG was appointed by joint developers, Skelwith Group and Forward Investments to design and manage the delivery of a major new roundabout and provide extra lanes on the A59 at Flaxby. The brief also included preparation of land for the future widening of the A59 and A1(M) junction slip roads to facilitate new access to the five star luxury hotel and golf course.
