A London-based housing association has entered into a Primary Authority Partnership (PAP) with the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
The Hyde Group is landlord to around 95,000 residents. Hyde has to comply with the fire safety laws and is required to carry out detailed mandatory fire risk assessments to identify and control fire risks and hazards.
John Carmichael, Hyde's Risk and Compliance Director, said: "Hyde operates across 74 local authority fire enforcement areas, so the PAP means that the LFB becomes our single point of contact for fire safety regulation and enforcement advice. For Hyde, this arrangement brings consistent and reliable fire safety enforcement advice as well as an independent audit of our fire strategy and risk assessment process."
