Sandwell Council has appointed Lovell as one of its three expert refurbishment partners.
Wates Construction and Vinci have also been chosen as partners of a £50 million package of repairs and improvements to the council's 6,000 homes over the next three years.
Lovell will carry out improvements to approximately 2,000 properties.
The improvements include: improved kitchens and bathrooms, new central heating systems and electrical rewiring plus external works such as replacing roofs and windows where necessary.
The partnership is also investing in community-based projects, which could range from going into schools to talk about site health and safety issues and investing in the local economy through tangible training and employment opportunities.
David Gough, regional director for Lovell, said: "We are delighted to be working on this exciting refurbishment scheme and continuing our long-standing relationship with SMBC. The opportunity to help provide residents with a better standard of living as well as helping to renovate the council’s housing stock is what we do best; we are looking forward to the next three years."
