Wates Starts Building Eastbourne Terrace Development

Wates Construction has commenced building work to deliver Land Securities' 20 Eastbourne Terrace development, adjacent to Paddington Station.

The project will see Wates extensively renovate the former 1950s 18-storey office building, which is currently one of the oldest office towers in London.

Designed by Fletcher Priest Associates, the speculative commercial development will provide 92,000 sq ft of Category A office space, which is expected to achieve a BREEAM rating of Excellent.

Completion of the project is due in February 2016.
