A number of construction workers in Bristol have donated a £3,000 bonus, paid to them for hitting a building schedule, to a local children's charity.
The workers, from Bristol-based Midas Group and Metek building services, made the donation to children's charity Jessie May.
A ceremony was held to hand over a cheque as the last tile was being laid at Harbour Court, due to open in September.
"We were delighted to attend the topping out ceremony and accept the wonderful donation of £3000 from the site crew," Roger Harper, Chairman of the Board at Jessie May, said.
Adding: "Imagine our surprise when Crosslane Director James Metcalf generously matched the donation with a further £3000 giving us a grand total of £6000. Donations like these do not come every day and we truly appreciate the support which means that Jessie May Nurses can continue to provide vital respite visits for families in Bristol who care for their terminally ill child at home."
