More than 130 people will save money on their energy bills following a partnership between Peterborough City Council and British Gas.
They have signed up to the Peterborough Energy Package which will on average save customers over £100.
More than 50 people have also inquired about accessing free home efficiency measures under a scheme involving energy suppliers.
The Peterborough Energy Package, one of the first of its type to be launched by an energy company and a local authority, has been designed to help residents reduce their energy bills.
Residents can sign up with British Gas and benefit from an offering including:
• A competitive tariff
• Nectar points earned as a reward
• A free 'energy company obligation' assessment
• A Green Deal assessment
