The Lovell construction team at The Beeches Village development has scooped a Silver National Considerate Constructors Scheme award for the flagship housing development taking shape on the site of the former Caerphilly District Miners' Hospital.
The Considerate Constructors Scheme inspector praised the construction site in Caerphilly – where developer Lovell is working in partnership with United Welsh to create 82 new high-quality homes for sale and for rent – for displaying "hallmarks of the highest standards within the industry".
The Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards reward construction projects which show excellent consideration for their neighbours, their workforce, the general public and the environment.
"We're absolutely delighted to see our team's hard work, professionalism and commitment to the local community recognised by this national award," said Lovell regional director David Gough. "The former Miners' Hospital was founded through the generosity of miners working in the local pits and our aim has been to celebrate and respect the site's history by working in a way that puts the community first and creates a lasting legacy of benefits for local residents and organisations."
