A Walsall teenager has secured an apprenticeship through a contract between Lovell and the Accord Group.
Samantha Davis, aged 18 from Darlaston, has started a two-year business administration apprenticeship with Lovell. The company’s Repairs and Maintenance business has a ten-year contract to carry out day-to-day repairs and provide a 24-hour a day reactive repairs service to Accord Group homes in the West Midlands.
Ten apprenticeships will be created over the life of the contract.
Samantha said: "It's great to be given the opportunity to learn a trade and get experience whilst being paid.
"Everyone is so supportive and if I have any questions or don't understand how to do something they will happily talk me through it. I really enjoy it."
Samantha, whose tasks include booking appointments and dealing with enquiries from Accord Group customers, is being mentored by former Lovell apprentice Stacey Tyler who is now a scheduler.
