Building contractor G F Tomlinson has been awarded a further £33 million of contract works by public sector construction procurement, design and consultation specialists Scape.
G F Tomlinson's latest win is for the East Midlands Property Alliance (empa) minor works framework contracts. The company has secured a £12m contract to cover work valued at between £50k and £350k in
Derbyshire and Staffordshire Moorlands. The firm has also won a £21m contract for work valued between £350k and £2m in Leicestershire.
G F Tomlinson is one of seven building firms to have been awarded a share of £140m minor works contracts in the wider east midlands. The contracts are split into sub-regions to enable a more locally focussed delivery team.
The contracts run for a period of four years, starting immediately, and are the last in a series of empa contracts awarded in early 2014.
The aim of empa, which is managed by Scape, is to improve the procurement and delivery of construction projects and property maintenance for local authorities saving time and money for them and their council taxpayers.
