To add to a growing number of awards for innovation within the security industry, Heald recently won the 2013 Mail News and Media Business Awards category for Exporter of the Year.

The Mail News and Media Business Awards are open to businesses of all sizes based in the Hull and East Riding area, but Heald's increasing presence in the global security market helped the company to rise above the other nominees.

The awards are now in their 13th year, with 14 awards presented – more than ever before. Businesses from all over the region attended the event, designed to recognise those individuals and organisations who have helped drive the local economy, creating jobs and wealth and putting the area on the map for all the right reasons.

The Exporter of the Year Award, sponsored by ABP Hull and Goole, is aimed at companies which have developed new markets outside of Hull and the East Riding and can demonstrate significant export sales in relation to the size of the company, success in accessing markets outside the county and overseas and trade growth through exports and the ability to sustain that growth.
