Kier Group has announced Chris Geoghegan will retire from its board of directors on 21 February 2014.
Mr Geoghegan has been a member of the Board for more than six years and was appointed as senior independent non-executive director and chairman of the Remuneration Committee on 1 January 2008.
Richard Bailey, who joined the Board on 1 October 2010, will assume the role of senior independent non-executive director, in addition to his role as chairman of the Risk Management and Audit Committee. Amanda Mellor, who joined the Board on 1 December 2011 also serving as a member of the Remuneration Committee will become chair of the Remuneration Committee. Kier's chairman, Phil White will become chairman of the Nomination Committee as a result of these changes.
Chairman of Kier Group, Phil White said: "Chris has made a significant contribution to the Board and its committees over a number of years and his pragmatic and commercial approach has played a valuable role in Kier's development.
