Launched less than a year ago, the Homes and Communities Agency's (HCA) Delivery Partner Panel 2 (DPP2) – comprised of leading house builders and contractors has already enabled speedy procurement of 12,500 homes. This number is increasing each week.
The DPP2 is available free of charge to a wide range of Local Authorities, Registered providers and other public sector bodies including Central Government Departments, NHS Trusts, and educational establishments to procure affordable, market for sale homes and homes for rental as well as mixed use developments.
The DPP2 builds on the HCA's experience of operating its first Delivery Partner Panel, DPP1, which delivered 20,000 homes over its 3 year term. Overall, the Panel provides a simple, speedy and OJEU-compliant procurement route for public sector organisations to appoint a developer or contractor.
Deborah Vogwell, the HCA's Frameworks Manager said: "We are really excited with the progress that has been made through DPP2, in particular the way the panel offers an effective means for public sector land owners to work efficiently and proactively with private sector developers to increase development of homes on surplus public sector land."
DPP2 members consist of leading house builders and contractors, all with a proven track record of delivering residential-led development in the current market. By providing access to an OJEU compliant panel of housing developers the panel makes procurement far more efficient, delivering significant time, cost and resource savings to both the public and private sector, making the overall procurement process far more efficient.
