Bracknell Forest Council are advising residents that Southern Gas Networks will be carrying out work in the Yorktown Road area of Sandhurst from Monday 3rd February.

The company will be working at various points along Yorktown Road as part of a 10 week project to ensure continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.

Southern Gas Networks has said that the work is likely to cause some delays to motorists and has asked road users to find an alternative route where possible.

The work will be carried out in five phases:

• Phase one (approximately three weeks) starts 3rd February at the junction with Albion Road with two-way temporary traffic lights.

• Phase two (approximately one week) will move on to the Swan Lane roundabout with three-way traffic lights in place.

• Phase three (approximately two weeks) will be around the junction with York Way with three-way traffic lights. It will also see the pedestrian crossing taken out of use.

• Phase four (approximately two weeks) will take place in Yorktown Road with two-way lights.

• Phase five (approximately two weeks) will be around the junction of Crowthorne Road with three-way traffic lights.
