Kier Construction design manager Matt Burley has been short-listed for a Duke of Gloucester Young Achievers Award
The Scheme, now in its third year, is organised by the Construction Youth Trust charity and celebrates the accomplishments of professionals under the age of 30. The judges look for young people who have achieved excellence in their careers so far, and have also had to overcome challenges or social disadvantage to get to where they are.
Nominated in the Design category, Matt Burley is a design manager for Kier Construction's London business and is currently looking to spread knowledge of BIM (building information modelling) throughout the industry. He was named Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) Graduate of the Year in 2013 and is currently pursuing full membership certification.
If successful in the Duke of Gloucester Young Achievers Scheme, Matt will follow in the footsteps of Kier civil engineer Stacey Clifford, who was named the overall winner of the scheme last year.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Globe in London on 20th March.
