NG Bailey's Engineering division has been awarded a £5m contract to design and install all mechanical and electrical (M&E) services at a new leisure centre in Huddersfield.
Working for main contractor, BAM Construction, NG Bailey will install all LV distribution, lighting, security systems, domestic water services and cooling systems.
NG Bailey has also utilised its Offsite Manufacture division to create corridor service modules and its IT Services division to provide voice & data solutions and a full security system.
The new multi-million pound flagship leisure centre - which will be owned by Kirklees Council and managed by Kirklees Active Leisure - opens to the public in 2015 and will include a 25m, eight-lane swimming pool, a large sports hall and an air-conditioned fitness suite with 120 fitness stations.
Due to the corrosive environment from chlorine in the wet areas, NG Bailey has had to carefully consider suitable plant, equipment & fixing selection.
