Miller has won another major health project on the ProCure 21+ framework, taking the value of contracts secured on the national framework for new build and refurbishment of NHS facilities to £50m this year.
The latest contract award for The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital [RNOH], Stanmore, is to provide two new residential blocks, clinical refurbishment works to a number of wards, pharmacy and out-patients unit alongside a range of statutory compliance works and small works projects, with a value of £10m.
Miller is currently working at the RNOH, the UK's leading orthopaedic hospital, delivering a number of enabling works projects. Works have been completed to underground services and a range of infrastructure projects, including construction of new car parks, access roads and an estates compound.
Miller, through its specialist healthcare solutions provider partnership Miller hps, continues to build its profile in the health sector by delivering high quality, value for money solutions for NHS Trusts looking to improve the quality of facilities and services for staff and patients.
In addition to the RNOH contracts other projects secured by Miller through the Procure 21+ framework this year include:
• A £14m major estates development and £8m small works programme for Croydon University Hospital, South London. Works will include the re-configuration of the emergency department, site development works, compliance and backlog maintenance works.
• A £10m infrastructure and small works programme at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, to deliver ward refurbishments, upgrading of site fire systems and asbestos & legionella management.
• A £8m programme of works for Mid Staffordshire Hospital which will include the relocation and refurbishment of the endoscopy and decontamination unit.
