Galliford Try, the housebuilding and construction group, has announced that its Building business has been appointed to build the Forbury Place project in Reading by client M&G Real Estate and Bell Hammer under a £38 million contract.
The contract will see the creation of 185,000 sq ft of Category A office space in the first of two new office complexes on the site of the former Energis House in the town. The eight storey building will target a BREEAM Excellent rating and provide an additional 450 parking spaces which will service both buildings on completion.
Galliford Try Chief Executive Greg Fitzgerald remarked: "This successful contract win further cements our position as a leading contractor within the office sector in the South East and we look forward to working with our partners at M&G Real Estate and Bell Hammer to provide a landmark new building for business in Reading."
