Interserve, the international support services and construction group, has won the Best External Pedestrian Area and Street Furniture award at Kimberly-Clark Professional Golden Service Awards 2013, for its work at Paternoster Square in the City of London.

The awards recognise and reward service excellence for contract cleaning companies and in-house cleaning teams. They are acknowledged internationally as the hallmark of quality and a powerful tool in the promotion of excellence.

The team beat four finalists to the title, which was a new addition to this year's awards. Innovation, staff management, training and client relationships are among the criteria assessed for the award, which also includes a site visit by the judges.

Scott Saunders, Client Services Director at Paternoster Square commented: "The team works hard in supporting the site, not only to provide the key services expected of an estate cleaning team but to enhance the experience for all visitors. This award recognises the effort the team have put into maintaining this iconic City location."
