Sophia Bruce has been appointed by housing developer and regeneration specialist Lovell as regional training advisor for the company in London.
She joins Lovell from construction, development and refurbishment contractor Mulalley where she was HR and training coordinator.
In her new job with Lovell, Sophia will lead training activities across the London region, helping company staff develop their careers and creating job and training opportunities in local communities, including apprenticeships.
An important part of her role will be to drive the extensive programme of training opportunities which Lovell is set to create through a £269 million estate redevelopment scheme in Woolwich, south-east London, for the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Following the plans successfully completing the full planning process, Lovell will start construction work on the estates regeneration programme in 2014. The company's proposals include 88 apprenticeships to be created through the project, at least 150 work experience placements and visits for over 840 school students.
