Clegg Construction has started work on a fast track project to relocate a world leading business to a new base in the Midlands.
A £3.6 million refit and construction project is being undertaken by the Nottingham-based company to help motion and fluid control technology leaders Norgren move into a new base in Lichfield.
Simon Blackburn, managing director of Clegg Construction, said: "We are delighted to be carrying out this important move for such a prestigious company. Our excellent track record in delivering projects on time and to the highest quality clearly played a major part in securing this project.
"This project involves major changes to an existing structure in addition to new build facilities which need to be delivered in a relatively short time-scale."
Clegg Construction was appointed to carry out the project by KPP Architects and it will involve major changes to an existing 100,000 sq ft warehouse on the Fradley Park business centre off the A38.
Work involves converting and extending the existing warehouse. A new mezzanine floor will be installed and 8,000sq ft of fully fitted out offices will be created internally.
In addition, Clegg Construction will also build new external compressor housing, sub-station, oil store, weighbridge and security hut with minor external yard and parking facilities.
Work on the project will be completed in January, 2014.
